Fall Wedding under a Sail Cloth Tent

"James,

What can I say, our wedding was just perfect and this was largely due to the work of you and your team. Having an outdoor wedding under a tent for 100 isn’t an easy event to plan, especially since we live in London, England. From the moment I stepped into your office, I knew we found the right team. Michele created and executed an amazing gourmet menu. It wasn’t your typical wedding menu. Our guests are still talking about the food. James, although we didn’t meet until a few days before the wedding, you helped me plan every detail of the wedding on our many conference calls. Your advice and organization made me feel completely relaxed. You listened to what we were hoping to accomplish in the look and the feel of the night and you delivered. I was so happy that I listened to your recommendations for the event because everything was perfect down to the color of the table cloths. The tent was elegant and inviting – especially with the layout you created. Finally, the wait staff, bartenders, chefs etc were just excellent. The service that evening was exceptional. Even though the party lasted until 5am, your staff was smiling the entire time (even though they had to be exhausted). And when you all showed up a few hours later, for the brunch on Sunday, I was amazed that you were all still smiling. The entire weekend, I didn’t have to think of one thing. DiSh took care of everything. DiSh isn’t just a caterer, it is a full service wedding/party planner. I have amazing pictures of your work and I will send to you shortly. Elegant BBQ – poolside!

"Hi Jonathan and James,

I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing such an absolutely amazing job for us this weekend!!!!! The party on Saturday was spectacular!!!! It was everything that I had dreamed of and more!!!!! Words cannot describe what a neurotic mess I was leading up to the event - you obviously know - I made a thousand and one changes to the menu, rentals etc... everything that could be change was and yet you took everything in stride. You never told me ok that's it we can't make any more changes, you made the changes, priced, re-priced and re-priced some more. This was so important for me because it helped me to feel comfortable with you and your capabilities. I am so happy that we did to because the menu was awesome!! I especially appreciated the little touches, the extras, things that we talked about but weren't on the menu like the rum punch - which was amazing and the Cuban pork sandwiches - Devine! You were so professional and helpful every step of the way and that made all of the difference in the world. Not only was the food absolutely amazing, so fresh, so yummy and so nicely displayed, but hands down you have the best staff that I have ever encountered. Everyone was so genuinely nice!!! On what felt like the hottest day of the summer I didn't hear one complaint from ANYONE!!! Not even the cooks. I could not believe it!!! Not one snicker, sneer, face, snide comment. Nothing! They were nothing short of professional. Not only that, but everyone was falling all over themselves to make sure that my husband and I, my brother and Jeannine, my father etc always had a drink and had something to eat etc. And I have heard similar comments from all of the guests. They were blown away. It was exactly the modern elegance that I was looking for and it was so fun because I knew that I could trust you and just relax and enjoy myself. I couldn't believe it; they even made sure that there were hand towels in the bathroom. From start to finish you guys were amazing. It was hands down the best catering experience that I have ever had. So thank you!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with James and Michele at DiSh. They caught my eye at an open house at the Pearl S. Buck Estate with their unfussy, delicious pork sandwiches, and they hooked me with homemade marshmallows and s'more service. I really did not want "typical" wedding fare. Their handmade, from scratch food was exactly what I was looking for. When I told them my budget, Michele offered up perfect ideas to translate my dream homemade harvest comfort food menu into something even more on point and streamlined to fit my budget.

Working with James in realizing the vision for our wedding day was easy. His positive energy translated over our many emails and he was patient and accommodating when I threw new ideas or changes his way. When our wedding day finally arrived, James was THE MAN who made it all happen. We had some surprise guests and I had not hired a day of coordinator to act as the glue. James and his staff took care of everything we needed professionally, cheerfully and seamlessly.

As for the the most important part- the food! I am still craving more of our brisket and mashed sweet potatoes a year later and our guests are still talking about how good the food was. I honestly cannot recommend DiSh highly enough!"

Wedding Weekend at the Raritan Inn

"We are thrilled that we chose DiSh Catering for both our Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Reception in October 2011. From the minute we met with James and Michele we knew that they were a perfect fit for us. James patiently answered every question and solved every potential problem that came up during the planning process, including adjustments and changes to the menu and last minute napkin choices. His helpful opinions and wealth of experiences helped guide us to confidently make decisions about all the important little details for both events. James and the DiSh staff also helped coordinate all of the tent and lighting rentals, as well as helping to coordinate the purchase and delivery of the alcohol for our event. We also had the pleasure of working with Jonathan for our wedding reception. The entire DiSh team was a true pleasure to work with, we had many guests come up to compliment us not only on the choice of amazing foods, but also to tell us how friendly, professional and unobtrusive the entire catering staff was. The food was truly amazing. At our Rehearsal Dinner our guests could not stop talking about the delicious and juicy grilled chicken and grilled flank steak. We selected the signature S’mores service for our Rehearsal Dinner dessert and our guests could not stop talking about how fun it was to spend time together around the “camp fire” and enjoy the delicious homemade marshmallows – a truly unique experience! At our Reception, our guests could not stop raving about the food, from cocktail hour straight through to dessert. We had so many compliments about the food and in particular, about the delicious wedding cake.

Our only regret in choosing DiSh is that we did not get to enjoy enough of the amazing food on our wedding day because we were so busy greeting our guests and spending time with them. At both cocktail hour and during the reception, we were each brought a plate of food to enjoy, but the excitement of the day took over and we never got to enjoy the full deliciousness of the food. Now we joke we have to find a friend looking to cater an event and make sure they choose DiSh so we can enjoy all the goodness of DiSh Catering!

Summer wedding at the Historic Prallsville Mills

"I will never forget my husband mentioning an "awesome caterer" named DiSh Catering. I was so nervous because I like to have some control over things and my husband wanted to pick the food for our wedding. I was told that Dish took care of my cousin-in-laws wedding and that the food was phenomenal! I was nervous and skeptical all in one. When I met James, not my husband, but the caterer (they have the same name) I was put at ease. James was very personable and was willing to customize the food to our liking. James even took care of my mother who is a picky eater. Let me tell you the food was amazing and the wedding cake was some of the best cake I have ever eaten. James even made sure there was no coconut anywhere because I am highly allergic to it. Most of my guests still talk about the lamb. 1 year later and my guests tell me "wow I'm craving the lamb from your wedding" I personally recommend the peach sangria it was sooo tasty! James and his team at Dish did a phenomenal job catering our wedding. Again I highly recommend Dish catering for all your catering needs. James made my wedding extra special at the Prallsville mill. Not only is the place gorgeous but the food brought it together. The food made my wedding complete : ) "

"DiSh Catering went above and beyond their role as caterers for my wedding. They helped us create a unique menu and even adapted the recipe of one of our favorite dishes to use as an entree. Everything that was served was fresh and delicious and, thanks to their flexibility, within our budget. They were quickly able to improvise when the table numbers went missing and helped coordinate the whole event with our DJ and grapher.
